BUCKIE’S “amazing” community spirit has been hailed by a Scottish Government minister. Cabinet secretary for communities and local government, Aileen Campbell, was in town last Friday afternoon to meet some of the groups who have been hitting the headlines for a variety of reasons. A CHOIR which has donated two defibrillator units to local villages has been praised. Buckie and District Community Choir handed Findochty and Portgordon a unit each as well as paying for training that will allow volunteers to use them in emergency situations. Portgordon Fireworks Committee has added its voice to the chorus of plaudits for the donations.
