A PACKED week of fun for all the family in Findochty was on the cards when the village held its gala week. The busy schedule included a football tournament, family treasure hunt, a sandcastle competition, a kids’ fancy dress contest, a fishing competition and, rounding off the Saturday, a gala dance. Gala committee secretary Susan Begg said: “We got a great response from the
community throughout the week, even though the weather was often less than ideal. “People really seemed to enjoy themselves and it was also a chance for local groups and organisations to raise some funds. “Everybody benefited from it by working together.” The committee also expressed their thanks to Tesco’s Bags for Help scheme for a donation made prior to the event.
