CULLEN Art Club is busy adding the finishing touches to its much-awaited annual exhibition. The McBoyle Hall in Portknockie will play host to the display of members’ work created over the past 12 months. Doing the honours in opening the three-day event, which runs from August 9-11, will be Keith Cullen councillor Theresa Coull. The unavailability of the Memorial Hall in Cullen means the show once again is on its travels. However, this has not diminished the enthusiasm of the 20 or so members as they put the finishing touches to their display pieces ahead of the opening night on Friday at 6pm. This will include a cheese and wine evening. Cullen Art Club chairwoman Myra Craig said: “Our members have been working hard on their pieces all year and again we’re delighted to have a wide range of mediums on show, including oils, watercolours, pen and ink, pastels and pencil drawings. “Anyone with an interest in art is most welcome to come along regardless of whether they have any experience as an artist or not.
