MORAY Council’s minority SNP administration have been lauded for “bringing vision” to the running of the local authority. The praise came recently from Banffshire and Buchan Coast MSP Stewart Stevenson as he embarked on his annual mobile surgery tour. The SNP’s nine-strong group took over the running of the council last summer when the Conservative group walked away from a coalition with Independent councillors. Mr Stevenson said: “We now have in Moray a council of a different political complexion to those of previous years and they have put a financial package together to deal with the current financial situation which has turned out better than may thought it might be. “While there are still issues to work through things are going forwards. “I think there is now a sense of energy, a sense of
vision in the leadership of Moray Council which has not been there for quite a lot of years. “The SNP group have been doing a tremendous job in difficult circumstances”.
