THE annual family fun extravaganza that is Peter Fair is set to open for business again this week. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday fair-goers young – and perhaps not so young – will head for the traditional Rathven market field site. Christian Horne, from event organisers Horne’s Pleasure Fairs, is one of those eagerly anticipating the 2019 Peter Fair. “We’ll have a lot of the old favourites back for people to enjoy, including kiddies’ rides and stalls,” he told the Advertiser. “We had a good year last year as the
weather was really kind to us so we’ve got our fingers crossed that we get decent weather again for this year’s Peter Fair. “I had a look at the fair park a couple of weeks ago and it seems great so far, so hopefully we should be in for a good three days.” Among the rides set to make a welcome return to the fair are the Freak Out, Move It, Midnight Express and the Miami. No Peter Fair would be complete without the the likes of the dodgems and waltzers along with rides for the younger fair-goers. It opens on Wednesday at 6pm and at 2pm on Thursday and Friday.
