Seafood firm hail new deal

A BUCKIE business is set for continued global expansion. Lossie Seafoods is set for continued expansion into international markets after securing a £3.2 million funding deal from Royal Bank of Scotland. The fish supplier and exporter was acquired by Associated Seafoods Ltd. (ASL) in 2011 and since then the business has grown to the point where 50 more staff have been hired. The hope is that the expansion will increase staff numbers further. ASL managing director, Victor West, said: “Our goal is to produce the finest quality Scottish seafood for customers around the world, and really put Scotland and its products onto the map. “Lossie Seafoods was founded over 100 years ago, and we still use smoking and curing techniques developed over the generations. “Our extensive experience makes us stand out in the market, and our focus on quality has seen Lossie Seafoods win many awards.”
