Portknockie sports day is fun in the sun

SUNSHINE was in short supply for many of the school sports days this year, but this proved not to be a problem for Portknockie Primary. As the term drew to a close, a glorious day greeted the pupils, staff and helpers as they tried their hand at a number of different games and challenges. The traditional mixed with the more novel when it came to the activities on offer for the youngsters.
The bean bag race was made even more fiendish when combined with an egg and spoon-type challenge, while the sack race and three-legged race required a mix of balance and puff to make it to the finish line. Among the other races were a test of hand-eye co-ordination in the shape of a hockey challenge, a keenly contested skipping race and hula hoop race.
